We are delighted with our lambs and what our ewes are achieving despite such a harsh season. The May/June drop weighed an average
of 35 kilos when weighed at an average age of 11 weeks. The majority of these are twins and born to maiden ewes. With
a protracted lambing this year, our ewes are rearing lambs on scant paddock feed and very limited hand feeding due to shortages.
Follolwing
a successful Dinninup Ram Sale on Friday 4th October 2024, the remainder of our selected 2023 drop rams are now available for private
selection. We currently have rams available.
With so many lovely lambs born each year, we will need to cut back
our breeder ewes, to make room for the best of the next generation. We usually offer around 50 ewes annually following weaning. These fertile ewes are excellent mothers and ideal prime lamb dams. Expressions of interest welcome at any time.
Take advantage of rising lamb prices. WAMMCO current price is $7.30 per dressed kilo for new season lamb carcasses between
18.1 and 32 kilos, score 2, 3 and 4, and we can expect an upward trend to continue into the year.
